'O' Level Results

Well, as you all know,
Today is the release of the Sec4'09 and Sec3'09(Chinese) 'O' Level results.

CCHMS did pretty badly. TT

Don't know if she's eligible for banding.

Heard Catholic High has an overall average of 9.1 for L1R5.

Salutes.

Congrats to those who are satisfied with their results.

And 'Cheer up eh, it's not the end of the world. At least you tried your best right?' to those who aren't satisfied with their results.

If your results were below your expectations, giving up would be the worst decision you are ever going to make in your life. Instead, strive for a better future and work harder to achieve the success you deserve!

I have A2 for Chinese.

I didn't study. (I didn't know what to study)

I didn't know I have 'O' Level Oral till the day itself. (I think it pulled me down to A2 ): )

I was in holiday mood and didn't give a shit about it.

1st week of school

Okayyy, so, 1st week of school has passed.
It's tiring.
Lessons everyday. Waking up at 6am is killing me ><
I don't know why, I pity those class who have like free periods due to absence of teachers.
I used to envy them.
Hmm, maybe it's my desire to learn more and learn them fast.
'O' Levels changed me.
And recently, I've done my A Maths homework by myself for the first time ever.
I'm beginning to change.
Change for the better.
My aim for this year is below 10 for my L1R5.
And I'm going to achieve it.
I'm going to study hard.
Watch me own people. (Y)

Let's see..
Had CCA day today.
It was kinda screwed.
Requested microphones but it came late
and it was pretty useless.
Halfway through I had headache zzz.
Think it's due to the mess there.
Than I went to sleep after performing my item.

Oh and this year, the school got stricter with grooming.
Girls are now threatened. (woohoo, finally)
They are to tie their cockroach feelers behind and have fringe that does not touch the eyebrow or they will cut. Hahaha, poor girls.
First day of school and they got a barber to cut those boys with hair that exceeds their expectation for $6.
Haha, it's pretty screwed.
Luckily this is my last year.
Every year, the school gets stricter zzz.

Chalet

CCHMSCO Chalet is screwed up.
Costa Sands Resort (Pasir Ris) is definitely not a place for 30 people.
$333 for such a small place is really not worth it.
And the toilet stinks.
The toilet has a shower head which produces water like a guy pee-ing on your head.
The bed has springs that pop out.
The TV screen is about the size of my Computer's monitor.
There's only one small table and a few chairs.
We have to bloody pay $24 for a slightly bigger square table and 8 chairs.
There's no aircon at the first level.
No kitchen.
Nothing.
Really, Costa Sands Resort (Pasir Ris) is a screwed up place.

I did not expect that I'd post about this for my 100th post.
Let's see,
What do you guys usually quarrel about with your parents?
Phone bills?
Going out too often?
Not getting something you want?
Etc, etc.
Have any of you actually quarreled with your parents about your own music lesson?
1 year after I started taking personal erhu lessons,
I have to put up with all the 'suans' given by my relatives.
None of my relatives have any music in their blood.
I'm surprised that I'm actually musc-ing.
In fact, none of them have any talent at all.
No athletes, no musicians, no artists
Nothing.
None of them is good in studying too.
What can they do?
Well, so far, I think, the best for 'O' Level in my family is
21 points. My brother.
Not even eligible to JC and it's the best already.
Okay, off topic.
Here, I have to struggle, put up with all this shit to continue learning erhu.
They wonder why I'm playing erhu.
I've chosen my path in Primary 2.
When I start something,
I do not stop till I've completed it.
In this case, I will not stop unless i break my hands.
I will not 半途而废.
Especially not for something I like doing.
Isn't it good to have a talent at hand?
Damned, and I thought I can post about something happy for my 100th post.
I thought I can write about my distinction for diploma (I hope)

Wah, lol, today damn suay.
Late for pump because my big fat brother took damn long in the toilet
Wonder what he does inside..
Than yeah, but luckily nothing happened.
After the first pump session,
I went to the canteen to eat.
But, the Popular Aunty suddenly came out and start asking where is CR and FG.
Than she said the 'O' Level Chinese book haven't pay her yet.
Than being the HCL rep, I thought it was my fault.
But I've given the money to Ms Chan Sok Mun.
After further scoldings and arguing,
We than realised that it's CL!
Not HCL.
Wtf, than I called Shi Jing (CL rep) and she did not pick up.
Than I sms her.
Stupid Shi Jing, how many times does she want to sabo me.
Whole day kena scoldings because of her.
Zzz, than after that, I went to Grand Audi to look for her. (Someone told me she's there)
But in the end, she's not there. -.-
Than while walking out of Grand Audi,
I saw this Chinese teacher, and she wants me to help her carry the 茶艺室 table from Grand Audi back to 茶艺室.
Wtf, a long and heavy table.
Zzz, than being a kind and helpful boy, I helped her to carry it back.
She say it's the Secondary 1s who borrowed the table for their Drama Night and did not return it.
After carrying the table, I've decided to pon Chinese pump.
I called my mother and waited at concourse.
Than, I saw Ms Chan Sok Mun.
ZZZ, than I had to go for the Chinese pump.

New York Philharmonic and Music Practical

Wow, New York Philharmonic and Frank Peter Zimmermann was fantastic.
I don't know what to say.
It's just good.
My first time watching a concert so expensive and I paid for the tickets with my savings ><
A hole in my pocket.
But, the concert mended it. (:
The Mahler Symphony no. 1 was really fabulous.
The Brass section blows my mind away.
The Strings section melts my heart.
The Percussion section was simply amazing.
Zimmermann is a truly good virtuoso violinist.
Enough said.
Music Practical was quite a screw up.
Zzz, I smoked through all the hard parts as I did not practise.
I spent most of the time doing the Word Setting which is of the same weightage as the Practical. Sian, hope I can get above 30/40 ><

Thus, I did question 1.
Map reading! Omg, damn tough.
I don't know what is South of Northing 81!
Zzz, textbook also never write what that is.
Than, just when I was about to finish question 1,
I remembered that out of 4 questions, 2 questions can be chosen!
Zzz, I started doing question 1 without even looking at the other questions.
Question 4 was much easier compared to question 1!

Ahhh, the moment I see the SEQ questions, I know there is no more hope.
Wanted to do SEQ first. But but..
I studied for like 5 hours this morning.
Went to school early in the morning.
Open my textbook and began reading Chapter 4 - Conflict in Multi-Ethnic Societies: Case Studies Of Sri Lanka and Northern Ireland.
I read it over and over again, practically memorised the important parts already.
Well, I thought that Chapter 4 is a huge chapter and is pretty important, so it will definitely come out as one of the SEQ. (SEQ is 3 groups of questions, choose 1 group. And each group has 2 questions)
But, I WAS WRONG. THERE'S NO SRI LANKA OR NORTHERN ISLAND STATED IN ANY PART OF THE PAPER!
WTF, I WASTED MY 5 HOURS STUDYING SOMETHING THAT DID NOT COME OUT AT ALL.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, I SCREWED MY SEQ PART UP!
Zzzz, looks like i have to depend on my Elective History already.

The 填写汉字.. Zzz, I totally screwed it up although I studied for it. Zzz, I just can't remember the bloody words. I can vaguely remember like half of the word, but can't remember the other half. ):
The 造句 is like wtf, I can't remember the meaning! Ahh, good game, sian.
The 综合填空 is like @#$%ing tough. I don't even know some of the meaning of the options given.
Than, the rest should be okay.
I think.

Paper 1 was not bad. In fact, I was quite confident that I will pass my HCL after Paper 1 no matter how badly I do for my Paper 2.

Mitten crab is unbelievably delicious.
My father went to China and brought home this big Styrofoam box filled with mitten crabs.
They say the mitten crab roe is like caviar from the east.
The roe is mainly found in the male species.
I ate this female species whereby there were loads of roe and egg at the same time!
Haha, lucky me :D
The crab roe is simply ambrosial.

Rest of the Time spent: Dota, Practise Erhu, Eat, Sleep, Drink, Tuition, Practise Piano and SLACK.

Stupid yet funny incidents always seem to occur when they're around.
Junyuan funny incident:
Wah, here damn smoky we (me, Derek and Junyuan) go out breathe some fresh air.
While walking along the street, we spotted this air-conditioned fishing rod store.
We decided to go in and enjoy the air-con.
Junyuan went in and wanted to prolong our stay in the store and thus pointed at a fishing rod and asked a china guy：" 请问象这样的大概值多少钱？ " The guy than replied：" Err..　对不起，我不是在这儿工作的。我也是来逛的。"
LOL, damn funny. Than we went out of the shop hurrily. Laughing like siao outside. Omg. LOL.
Oh well, than we enjoyed the rest of the evening talking crap all the way. hahaha.

If and When Were Planted

How is "if and when" planted? The short stories below are examples of planting "if and when":

Karen, one of my coworkers was stressed about where she was living. She hated the apartment she was in and complained every day about it. One day over coffee, I asked her why she didn't look for another apartment - it seemed like an easy solution to me. Karen's reply to this was, "I will look for another apartment when I come back from vacation."

Sam hated his job. He dreaded getting up in the morning. He hated the work he was doing and it started to take a toll on him. He had a love for photography and was currently taking a two-year course to obtain his certificate. Every night he complained about his work. After listening to his complaints for a month, I asked him why he didn't finish his course and start a small business doing photography on the weekends. His reply, "if only I had more time to finish my course. When I finish my course I will start a business."

Sarah had saved all her life and now was retired and living comfortably. The house she bought had a dishwasher in it; however, the dishwasher was old and didn't work. She hated doing dishes, and every time we visited with her she complained about doing the dishes. One night, I asked her, "Why don't you buy a new dishwasher Sarah." Her reply, "I have been thinking about it, if they would only come on sale I would."

Larry worked for a company that allowed early retirement. Larry had both the years of service and his age, which allowed him to retire, but at a reduced pension. He was having difficulty coping with all the changes that were being made in his work. He had a couple of mild attacks, not a heart attack but similar to one. He called me and we talked for hours. I was worried about the stress of his job and the effects it was having on his health. "Why don't you retire Harry? Do something that you have always wanted to do," I asked. Harry's reply to my question was, "If only I was older then I would get my full pension." I got bolder in my conversation with him, "But Harry, you have your house paid off, you have no bills, the kids are grown up. You could sell your house and downsize, it really is not worth your health is it? Harry then said, "When the summer comes maybe I will."

All of these stories have the same theme running through them. There is a proverb that says it all:
"If and when were planted, and nothing grew."

Now a year later,
Karen is still living in the apartment she hates!
Sam is still complaining about his job and still has not finished his course!
Sarah is still washing dishes!
Larry is still working and his health is not what it used to be!

The sad part of all of these stories is that all of these people had a lot of stress in their lives that they could have taken action to reduce. But, all of them defeated themselves by thinking "if" or "when". Life is too short for "if's and when's".

The next time you are in a stressful situation and you find yourself saying or thinking - "if or when" - remember the saying, "If and when were planted and nothing grew!" Change your thinking and take action, so that you can reduce your stress right now.

Woah, this few days was. tiring.
2 Days ago, my class came late for Flag Raising Ceremony. I was punctual as I've just arrived at school just before it's time to assemble.
The whole class had to stay back after the ceremony and do squats. It was 20, yes 20. But due to the 'not togetherness' as claimed by Mr Chua Chor Loon (My DM), we had to do more. zzzz, what a bad way to start the day, lessons till 2.45pm, music o level till 6.30pm, amaths tuition till 9pm. went home half dead. zzzz.
Yesterday, something happened during CO. (or after.) Apparently, the IT resource room keys went 'missing'!!! ><><

The past few days have been rather uneventful, zzzz. boring..

Last thursday, PFT was a total screwed up ): only did 4 pull ups!!! ahh. 1 more to grade C ): and stupid new PE teacher (during my PE lesson on Monday) don't allow me to redo my pull up!!! ahhhhh, screw him. there goes my gold. sian... okay, so after PFT, some of my classmates went to Kallang Macdonald with Mrs Pereira!!(english teacher) well, had quite a lot of fun. everybody were quite high despite being fatigue after the PFT. well, went home with richie, wen bin and daniel.

Last Saturday, i was supposed to go out and celebrate jenna's birthday!! BUT, my parents did not allow ): so, yeah. stayed at home in the morning and afternoon doing practically nothing at all. Went to IKEA for dinner though :D the chicken wings, woah. had i think 6 of them. :D

hmm, lets see. today! played DOTA during chemistry lesson. yes, i didnt type wrongly, dota in comp lab 1. they didnt uninstall it after the LAN during the bazaar by the lake. hahas. had this 'teacher' that i dont think was teaching at all. she just wrote the answer on board and asked us to copy down. right?(i wasnt listening, was too busy owning in dota :D). slackest lesson with teacher ever. we literally played infront of her. scolded vulgarities (of course not me, i so guai :D) and she didnt care at all!! lol. anyway. 3v3, my team won :D too imba already (: lol.

Heartstrings concert successfully ended yesterday at 10pm. :D
I feel guilty for not able to sell off the tickets that I'm supposed to sell ):
It was quite good, especially the Key Elements Acapella group.
And there's this cellist from SNYO is pretty good too :D
So are the soloists(:
$8 for the ticket price is too cheap, it's totally worth it :D

AHHHHHHHH!!! 13/15 for chem test ): damned, what went wrong. teacher haven't return the test yet.. ): oh well, anyway zhang zhe kai owes me lunch :D free lunch!!

hmm, it's been a long time since i've blogged. Many things have happened and now I'm pondering what I should do..hais..
Anyway, my younger brother is sick! Doctor say it's possibly H1N1!!!! :O oh well, let's hope he will recover asap!! get well soon yeah! and hope that it's not h1n1.
Okay, lets talk about something happier :D i've just had chemistry test last week! and for the first time in secondary 3, i'm feeling so confident that i'll either get very high marks or even full marks! yeepee, let's hope that i'll not make any stupid careless mistakes and flunk it.
Now, my school has this thumbprint system thing. (okay it's quite long ago) it's is very stupid! omg. i dont know why school spend so much money on these machines (it looks expensive). You have to first key in your NRIC number, than place your thumbprint at the scanner thing than the machine will take a picture of you!!!!lol, i didnt know that till today when my form teacher show us the pictures taken. lol, it's very stupid la. all the unglam photos. than see all the boys zilian pictures. eeyer, so disgusting la.
hais, i got to go already, got to study chinese ting xie and than sleep :D (5 chapters leh. sian)

I've had enough of lagging behind people when it comes to studies
I've had enough of making sacarstic remarks of my results
I've had enough of failing
I've had enough of wailing whenever my report book gets into my father's hand
I've had enough of worrying about what to do when i receive my report book
I've had enough of emo-ing when i know about my results
I've had enough of hoping that the teachers will not see my mistakes on the exam scripts
I've had enough of wishing that i will get good grades by not working that hard for it
I've had enough of looking at the disappointment in my parent's eyes
I've had enough.

A student is called a student because he/she is 'hired' to study. Since I'm 'hired' to do so, I shall do my best.
A student gets his/her pay for studying through a certain amount of money called 'pocket money'. Since I get paid weekly by my 'employers'(parents), I shall not disappoint them (or i may get fired).
'Employers' buy things for the student so as to encourage them to do well for their job(studies). Since, I receives things from my 'employers', I shall once again not disappoint them and not make them feel as if they have wasted their money to get me those things.

These are the reasons why you'll see me passing my End Of Year exams with flying colours.

while studying.the ambulance car car suddenly flew pass us..on the service road.hahas.dan out of curiosity.we went over to the netball court.and saw ppl and more ppl gathering.a girl.fell down/fainted/died/blah blah.i dont really know what happened to the girl.but...something happened..dan i went back to the piano.

woah.its been long since i last posted..hmm.lets see.school reopened like 13 days ago.boring school days are back!zz.secondary 3.long pants now.must study liao.zzz.quit dota liao.quit lan liao.study study.zzz.many things going to happen this year.SYF competition.GECO concert in june.probable Australia trip.going wif cchmsco.probable end of year cchmsco concert.erhu diploma graded examination( probably 2 of them, NUS and NAFA).hope it all ends this year.dan i can concentrate on O LEVEL next year! hahas.whew.busy year.

hmm.and 2008 o lvl results was out on 12th jan..hmm.cchms didnt do very well.no half day or holidays for us): oh well.my target for o lvl score below 10!!hahas.try.pia.chiong.studies liao.no more games man..these days ah..schools dam boring!zzz.class no fun de!no noise.no arguments.no quarrels.no nothing!

hihihihi.im back from camp!woohoo.so many things to write down.sian.i lazy write sia.lets see.sad..now im missing camp.i miss trainer Min and Mable): they were really great instructors.had great fun wif them(: i shall summarise everything..

Day1
went to grand audi and assembled.
next went to kota tinggi
had some team dynamic games
dan i forgot liao..
after dat had confidence nightwalk.wth.supposed to be two ppl walk together along a very very dark pathway in de forest.dan dan dan.because of some ppl behind me talk.the last few ppl(incuding me) had to walk alone.after dat went back to sleep

Day2
had breakfast in the morning.
dan went for rock climbing abseiling and flying fox.
after dat played de wad whale watching game.very very hard. =x
after dat go bathe dan eat dinner
after eating dinner go see fireflies on a boat along a river

Day3
went for mountain trekking(very very very tiring)
had outdoor cooking for lunch in the mountain
after dat was water activities i think.not very sure which day was it.
very very fun((:
